A distinctive global campaign for IBM’s internet security and virus protection software.

Working with IBM, we developed a series of global advertising campaigns for Proventia, the company’s internet security and virus protection software. Built around the concept of ‘Same principal, different execution’, the campaign used striking visual analogies to make complex cyber security concepts feel immediate and accessible. From porcupines to stealth jets, each execution drew parallels between familiar forms of protection and IBM’s advanced digital defence technology. Rolled out across press and international marketing communications, the campaign helped position Proventia as intelligent, robust and constantly vigilant.

The campaign took a technically complex product and made it instantly understandable without losing credibility. The visual thinking was sharp, memorable and refreshingly different from the usual cyber security communications. It gave the product a much stronger presence internationally and helped us communicate serious technology in a far more engaging and accessible way.
